I have started my  Mounjaro  journey and so far, my experience has been fantastic. I have had slight acid reflux for the first 5 days of starting, which was remedied by chewing a Gaviscon double strength tablet . I also became aware of a less frequent  bowel movement, but possibly due to a much decrease food consumption, again, a simple fix, a laxative resolved that.

I can forget to eat, so now I have to make sure that I cook for the family and dish food for myself, even though I could probably go without. But the portion size I want is much smaller and I do leave food on my plate, which a s a child I was always taught not to do, but even though it feels wrong, I cant make myself eat more.

My wine consumption has virtually stopped, shock horror! I have had a couple of evenings where I thought I might like a glass of red, but just one glass was enough to satisfy.

AND chocolate…. Well, a family  bar was never enough, and yet when I saw some opened chocolate in the fridge, my natural reaction to just have some, after one cube,  it was nice, but I just didn’t want anymore. I even stood in front of the fridge for a few minutes, looking at it and trying to evaluate what exactly it was that I was feeling. This strange situation I found myself in. And I still don’t exactly know, or better still, I don’t exactly know how to put it into words. But I just feel, ok. I feel satisfied and not searching for that” thing “to make me feel better.

Oh, and did I mention? I’d lost 10lbs at 3 weeks.
